Professor Ash Mosahebi

Professor Ash Mosahebi qualified at Guy’s and St Thomas’ Medical School in London, and underwent Plastic Surgical training through London Deanery, in some of the largest and busiest hospitals in the nation before pursuing further specialist training in reconstructive & aesthetic surgery in New York & Belgium.

Now one of the U.K.’s

leading Plastic Surgeons

Prof Mosahebi has sat on the Council of the British Association of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons (BAAPS) since 2009, is part of the U.K. specialist advisory committee for Plastic Surgery, and in addition to his NHS role as Consultant Plastic Surgeon & Service Lead at Royal Free Hospital, London as well as his private practice, he is also an educator at the Royal College of Surgeons.

Prof Mosahebi specialises in congenital, cosmetic and reconstructive breast surgery; body sculpturing; complex soft tissue reconstruction after trauma (accident) or cancer; and he has extensive expertise in surgical and non-surgical facial rejuvenation.

His involvement in pioneering wound healing research (regenerating new tissues through novel biomaterials and tissue engineering), draws many patients – particularly those who have lost significant amounts of weight to seek out his expert surgical techniques for procedures such as full body lifting, thigh lifts and facelifts.

Always at forefront of innovation, Prof Mosahebi was one of the first to adopt and perform Vaser liposuction in the U.K. He regularly authors scientific publications and is invited to lecture around the world.

Prof Mosahebi believes in a holistic, personalised approach to patient care, and values listening to patient’s voices in discussion about their individual needs and available treatment options - delivering a bespoke treatment.

He works closely with regional breast cancer and skin cancer teams, and offers survivors immediate or delayed breast reconstruction - including microsurgical reconstruction using a tummy tuck flap to reconstruct the breast (as demonstrated on the BBC One Show.)

In addition to his role as Honorary Secretary at the BAAPS, Prof Mosahebi is a member of the British Association of Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgeons (BAPRAS), and the former President of the Royal Society of Medicine, where he maintains a role on the council. He is the deputy editor of the Journal of Plastic, Reconstructive & Aesthetic Surgery and regularly appears in broadcast, online and print media, providing expert commentary and advice.

Reconstructive Surgery

At London Plastic Surgery Centre, we pride ourselves on our ability to provide outstanding reconstructive surgery services to our patients; what nature takes away through birth defect, cancer, infection, or injury, we can restore, using cutting-edge reconstructive surgery.

In addition to our advanced techniques, we also employ a team approach to solving difficult problems that require reconstructive surgery.

Our most complex patient cases are referred to our Institute for Advanced Reconstruction, where a multi-disciplinary team of reconstructive surgery specialists analyses the individual’s issues and creates a bespoke surgical plan to best restore their appearance and function.

Our highly-qualified staff can help to answer questions, and to inform you about surgical techniques and procedures that may be part of your reconstructive surgery journey and your follow-up care.

Below are just some of the advanced reconstructive surgery techniques available at London Plastic Surgery Centre, however we welcome your contact either by phone, email, or by appointment to discuss your individual concerns.
